Typical modifications resulting from our assessment program can be, but are not limited to:
- Replacement of fans by more aerodynamic modern blades to increase the cooling
- Adjustment of the blade pitch, fan speed and tip clearance ( Tip seal)
- Installation of winter and summer pitch
- Installation of inlet bell to achieve extra efficiency
- Replacement and alignment of the transmission gear
- Adaptations of structural steel of the motor chair
- Replacement of the shaft
- Replacement of the motor if there is no available unused power at the current speed
- Closing leaks from obvious holes and gaps in the fan box
- Installation of air seals
- Installation of anti rotation devices ( fans can windmill backwards)
- Replacement of the finned bundles if the bundles are excessively used up (snaked tubes or damaged fins)
- Design of new equipment if necessary
- External cleaning of the finned tube bundles ( general practice is to clean once a year)
Once the modifications have been completed, we retest to check the impact on the thermal performance of the Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger.
New equipment and bundle replacement
In some cases an upgrade does not always reach the thermal performance desired by the end user. In this case a only new Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger or replacement of the bundles can solve the problem.
We design, build and supervise the erection of tailor-made New Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers.
A project leader will follow the project from beginning to end, ensuring maximum optimization and assuming responsibility throughout. Due to the company’s open organization structure Decometa guarantees a high quality product and a top-notch service.
